Celebrating 35 Years in Business

July 1989 - Dad's first day at Liechty Motors.  It wasn't just a job, it was the start of a massive change for our family.

Nine months prior we had lost my 16 year old sister in a car accident.  Dad had worked at Wagner's (now Don's Automotive) for 22 years and had most likely planned to stay there until he retired.  God had different plans.

Because of a stroke, Wes Liechty was no longer able to run the Chrysler dealership in Archbold so my dad's boss, Gaylord Wagner, decided to help my dad have a fresh start.  You can only imagine, unless one has gone through it themselves, the type of grief that losing a child brings.  And so a new location and a new adventure was welcomed with open arms.

So we made the move from our home in Wauseon and made Archbold our new home.  The business remained Liechty Motors for 10 years, giving Dad time to get established in the Archbold community before taking the giant step of a name change.

In 1999, we opened the doors to our new building at the current location and it became Terry Henricks Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Dad, alongside so many faithful employees over these years, worked so hard to make this business what it is today. And we are so thankful!

I share those details because we serve a God who is IN the details.  He takes care of his children.  At a time of such devastation and loss for our family, God chose to open doors when we thought our world was in shambles.  I have seen God use my Dad, and my Mom at his side, in ways they couldn't have imagined!
