These tests revealed that the RAM 1500 EcoDiesel boasts a fuel efficient average of 20 mpg, and can attain up to 27 mpg on the highway. Additionally, the pickup was recognized for its coil-spring rear suspension which provides a smooth and quiet ride to occupants. For these many reasons, Consumer Reports deemed that the RAM 1500 EcoDiesel as their "Top Rated Pickup Truck".
