Jeep Compass vs. Honda CR-V

  • Trail rating. Both the Jeep Compass and the Honda CR-V have all-wheel drive available, and both are great for giving drivers a comfortable daily commute. But, only the Jeep Compass can take you from the highway to the trail. The Compass trim Trailhawk is tuned with different specifications to make it easy to drive on the road and on the trail. The Honda CR-V doesn't have any trail rated trims or the special off-roading features that the Compass Trailhawk has.
  • Budget. The Jeep Compass and the Honda CR-V are very similar overall. They have near-identical measurements for width and height, and they have similar engines that rank 180 horsepower for the Jeep Compass and 184 horsepower for the Honda CR-V. Yet, despite all of their similarities, the Jeep Compass is more budget friendly for Ohio drivers. Our customers in Defiance, Swanton, and beyond, can get more car for their money with a Jeep Compass than they can with a Honda CR-V.
  • Personalized color scheme. With a rainbow of exterior colors available, and a number of unique, two-toned color schemes in the mix, the Jeep Compass allows drivers to personalize their vehicle more than the Honda CR-V. In fact, the Honda crossover has a limited number of exterior colors available, and all of them are solid, monotone options that don't allow drivers the option of customizing with multiple colors.

Jeep Compass vs. Chevrolet Equinox

  • All-wheel drive. While both the Chevy Equinox and the Jeep Compass have all-wheel drive available, only the Jeep gives drivers that option on every single trim. In fact, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk is only available with all-wheel drive. Drivers considering the Chevy Equinox, on the other hand, have to move up trim levels and spend more money to have all-wheel drive available to them.
  • Trim options and features. The Jeep Compass base trim, the Sport, comes with a nice long list of features and can be easily ordered for drivers who are looking for the most budget-friendly option. On the Chevy Equinox, however, the base trim and the second trim are hard to find, with the base trim L being a custom order that you have to wait to be built. In addition to being harder to find, the Equinox first two trims, L and LS, are bare bones in their standard features options, which means drivers in Delta are forced to go up trim levels and spend more money to get decent features.
  • Fuel economy. The Jeep Compass is the more fuel efficient model in this comparison. In fact, the Compass averages 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, compared to the average Equinox rating of 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

Jeep Compass vs. Mazda CX-5

  • Color palette. When it comes to personalizing your vehicle to suit your style, the Jeep Compass offers a lot more color options than the Mazda CX-5. Not only does the Jeep Compass have a larger range of solid exterior colors available, it also gives drivers the option of a two-tone color scheme, something the Mazda model doesn't have.
  • Off-road adventures. If you're the type of driver who likes to take your SUV off the beaten path for trail-rated weekend adventures, the Jeep Compass is the model for you. That's because the Compass has an off-road themed trim level, the Trailhawk, which has standard all-wheel drive, 17-inch wheels, a raised suspension, and other features tuned for trail rides. The Mazda CX-5 is built more for daily commuting, not trail riding, while the Jeep can do both.
  • Transmission options. A lot of drivers like the ease of an automatic transmission, but, there are still a lot of you out there in the greater Toledo are who prefer to be in charge of your vehicle's shifting with a manual transmission. For those drivers, only the Jeep Compass has a manual transmission option. All Mazda CX-5 trims are mated solely to a six-speed automatic.
